Journal 5 Images Of Jesus

1. Has your image of Jesus changed during the project? How or Why not?  

My image has changed  in a few ways such as, It has changed when i look at different peoples way of portraying Jesus on the net.

2. What do you feel is the best way to portray an image of Jesus and why? The first thing that comes to ones head would be the way to potray Jesus

3. What have you enjoyed about the project so far and what would you do differently? The things i have enjoyed this project is learning about the time periods

Journal 4 Images Of Jesus

1) What form of medium (music, art or literature ) allows you to best connect with Jesus and Why? I think that literature is the best for me because i like reading the stories because it gets me interested.

2) Why has Jesus been portrayed in so many different ways throughout history? There are many reasons that can contribute to explaining why Jesus has been portrayed Including significant events like the protestant reformation, the Counter Reformation, the crucifixion etc.

3) How is Jesus portrayed at Parramatta Marist? Jesus is portrayed as a savior, a hero, a role model and a friend within the Parramatta Marist Community. Parramatta Marist believes strongly that Jesus has transformed the world into a better place.

4) What artistic time period do you think best represents your image of Jesus and why? The baroque period best depicts my opinion and belief of an image of Jesus. This is because the Baroque period has many images painted of or relating to Jesus

5) Identify one image of Jesus that appeals to you. What do you like about the representation?

I dont like anything about this image because jesus was crucified for no reason

6) What factors currently shape your image of Jesus and Why?

 


 

Journal 3 Images Of Jesus

1) What words and or images come to mind when you hear the word Jesus. The words that come into my head when i think of jesus are Love, compassion, kindness.

2) Why might it be important for young people to identify with an image of Jesus? It is important because  kids don’t want read words, it would be exciting for them to see a picture because it would have colours and stuff that would attract there attention.

3) Where in your life do you most associate with images of Jesus?

1. How many rubrics are there for this project? There are three rubrics for this task.

2. Describe the purpose of the rubric? The rubric tells the student what he or she needs to achieve an A grade

3. How can you use the rubric to get the best possible mark? The way i could use the rubric to get the best mark would be, every time Im doing my work i could have it next to me and i could add the requirements needed to achieve the highest mark.

 

 

Journal 1 Images of Jesus

1. List TWO problems that could occur from students selecting their own groups. 

- Students picking there friends and not getting any work done

- Students getting left out

2. Which type of student do you think would be selected first. The smartest and the hardest working student would be picked first in a group.

3. Why do you think they were selected first? The would be picked first because they work the smartest. 

4. Which type of student do you was selected last? Lazy and who don’t want to do any work.

5. What beneficial characteristics can you offer to your group? I offer a sense of calmness, I’ve been told that i am a good listener so i am able to tak in information.

6. List THREE things you personally would like to improve on during this project.

- Timeing

- Working smarter

- Group communication

1. love god

To love god is to be loyal and follow in his footsteps, be a humble person and a good samaratin.

 2. love self and neighbor

Be confident about your self. Be kind to your neighbor, respect them and were they live.

1.) Explain the purpose of using ‘youtube’ as a source of digital media advertising? The point of using youtube is because there are millions of viewers and they would see it so it would be good for advertising.

2.) Discuss how collaborative media sites such as youtube, myspace and bebo have changed the current boundaries of media such as news, advertising ect. Many people use these sites now to post news and advertising

With reference to the image below and answer the following questions:

Digital Media
1.) Define the term ‘digital media’. Digital media usually refers to electronic media that work on digital codes

2.) How has digital media evolved over the last 5-10 years? There has been better graphics and animations and photographs.

3.) Discuss the reasons why digital newspapers are extremely popular? Because they can be read anywhere you have an internet connection.

Scenario 1: You are on a train coming home from a day at the beach. The train stops at a station and a group a youths get on the train and start bashing an elderly ethnic man. You notice people getting off the train.
Discuss what you would do in this situation.
 
In this situation, I would firstly call the police and ambulance tell them what happened. Wait there till the police and ambulance come and tell them what happens.

 Scenario 2: You get a message from a girl that you are interested in asking you to come over her house. When you get there a number of her friends are present and they say they are bored. One of them promotes the idea of going for a walk and causing a riot. At first you tell them “No way”. However, the girl you like states that “she will like you more if you go”.


Discuss what you would do in this situation.

I would firstly try and talk the girls out of causing  trouble. If they still want to go on with their idea I would let them know that I wont be part of it and let adults know of what they were thinking of doing.
